Is it humility or the height of pride to claim we are spiritual

I recently heard a believer describe herself as "unspiritual". She said she would never call herself spiritual. But I was reminded of a verse in 1 Corinthians 2:15 - The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment: (1 Corinthians 2:14-16 (in Context) 1 Corinthians 2 (Whole Chapter).I recently heard a believer describe herself as “unspiritual”.  She said she would never call herself spiritual.  But I was reminded of a verse in 1 Corinthians 2:15 – The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: (1 Corinthians 2:14-16 (in Context) 1 Corinthians 2 (Whole Chapter).

There were others like unto it.

1 Corinthians 15:44 – it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:43-45 (in Context) 1 Corinthians 15 (Whole Chapter)
Galatians 6:1 – [ Doing Good to All ] Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.  Galatians 6:1-3 (in Context) Galatians 6 (Whole Chapter)
and then finally … there is this one shared by Paul the Apostle himself in Romans 7:14– We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.   Romans 7:13-15 (in Context) Romans 7 (Whole Chapter)

WOW…Paul refers to himself as unspiritual.  So, I’m thinking…this call for a mind of wisdom.  Anyone care to comment?

I’m exploring this topic today on AngelaSphere.  Is it biblically correct to say we are spiritual or perhaps an indication we are not rightfully dividing the word of truth?  Is it possible that the scriptures are referring to our “spiritual gifts” rather than the state of our spirits?  And so I’m digging deeper today.  Is it humility or the height of pride to claim we are “spiritual”.  What say ye today?

Blessings to all you do today.
